At First Entertainment, (http://www.firstent.org) a $ 1 Billion + California-based credit union, we want a star performer to team up with us in a great opportunity as a Contact Center Specialist II. First Entertainment offers banking services to employees of the entertainment community.  We are a member-owned, not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution formed to permit our members to pool their savings, lend to one another, and a place where they save, borrow, and obtain related financial services.

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficient, effective, timely processing of member requests and work relating to Contact Center responsibilities as assigned by the Contact Center Specialist III, department Supervisor or Manager. Ensures that members and others receive timely responses and a high level of accurate, courteous service at every point of contact. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with work hours generally between 8:30 AM to 5:15 PM with overtime and flexibility with hours required. May be required to work an occasional Saturday as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with members by telephone, live chat, mail or email in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Performs and coordinates all processes involving member transactions and service requests.
  • Actively cross-sells products and services.
  • Documents all member contact in the Member Service Queue.
  • Maintains productive work relationships with Credit Union staff and vendors.
  • Performs department balancing when assigned.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year or work-related skill, knowledge and experience in a financial institution, preferably a credit union.
  • One to three years of related work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read, speak and write clearly to convey information effectively so others will understand; possess good listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, responsibilities, and/or projects.
  • Problem-solving skills to effectively research, investigate, and offer solutions to various issues.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to make decisions with minimum information.
  • Ability to look for ways to assist members and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of how to use a personal computer and MS Office products on a daily basis (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Symitar for Windows (Episys).
